Dacorum Climate Action Network Water Butt Giveaway

Dacorum Climate Action Network is giving away 20 water butts to encourage Dacorum residents to reduce the amount of water used from the mains water supply and reduce their carbon footprint.

What are the benefits of using a water butt?

*        Water butts collect rain water, and therefore provide a source of water during periods of drought.

*        Once set up, water butts reduce the financial cost of using fresh water from your mains supply

*        Emissions arise from the processes involved in treating and transporting water to make it suitable for human consumption. Therefore, by reducing the overall usage of water from your mains supply, you are reducing your carbon footprint.

The giveaway is running until Tuesday 21 March 2023. Anyone who lives in Dacorum is eligible – apply quickly as only 20 water butts are available.

Winners will be chosen at random on Wednesday 22 March 2023, and will need to collect their prize from B&Q, Two Waters Rd, Hemel Hempstead HP3 9BX by 4pm on Sunday 26 March 2023.
