Planning – Public Participation & Notification

Tring Town Council holds meetings fortnightly (either the full Council, or its Planning Committee) to discuss planning applications relevant to Tring Town. There is an opportunity for the public to participate at these meetings. The Council’s decision is taken into account by Dacorum Borough Council (DBC), who make the final decision. You can view planning applications that are being considered by Tring Town Council either online, or at the Information Centre. Please note that we do not handle plans being considered by Aldbury or Tring Rural Parish Councils.

Details about current planning applications being considered by the DBC Planning Department (tel: 01442 228588) can be seen via the DBC planning application search facility.

Tip: The Single Application search requires the full planning application reference e.g. 4/01234/04/ABC. You may find it easier to use the Multiple Applications search e.g. type the street name into the Street Name box and click Search, then select the application of interest from the list by clicking Details.

General information and guidance can be found on the Planning Portal website, while the CPRE’s Planning Help website may be useful.
